Terrazzo Stone Flakes | Multi-Sized For Epoxy, Polyaspartic Floors
Terrazzo Multi-Sized Stone Flakes have been designed to combine the traditional appearance of Italian marble terrazzo with the limitless customizable style options of color flakes. Terrazo Stone Flakes offer a decorative Terrazo stone look for your epoxy, polyaspartic, polyurea and urethane floor coating system. Although Terrazo Stone Flakes look like real Terrazo, they are actually a manufactured vinyl flake made up of a random selection of many different sizes flakes.
Terrazzo Stone Flakes are broadcast into a colored epoxy, polyurea, polyaspartic or urethane basecoat. When the coating is tack free and ready to be re-coated, excess chips are cleaned off the surface and one or two coats of a clear topcoat are applied. How thick or how many coats of a topcoat required depend on the amount of flakes used.
Chips are sold in 10 lb boxes. How much to use depends on the look desired. The more chips used the less you see of the base coat color and more you see the chips. For a partial broadcast, you can apply chips at the rate of 20 sq’ to 200 sq’ of floor coating per lb of chips. For full broadcast to refusal it takes substantially more, between 8-10 sq’/lb. Full broadcast means chips are applied so heavy that the coating can’t absorb anymore and they are sitting on the surface.
