Outdoor UV Stable Solid Color Flakes have been designed specifically to use in spaces with direct or indirect sun exposure for improved color stability and longevity of your floor. These unique solid color flakes can be purchased separately or combined into your own unique custom blend of multiple UV stable colored flakes using our Color Visualizer Software Tool  to see what your creation looks like.

Our outdoor UV stable flakes are made from an Advanced formulation with BASF Tinuvin® light Absorbers, Formulated with inorganic pigments and offering excellent long-term color performance and durability.

How thick or how many coats of a topcoat required depend on the amount of flakes used. Chips are sold in 10 lb boxes . How much to use depends on the look desired. The more chips used the less you see of the base coat color and more you see the chips. For a partial broadcast, you can apply chips at the rate of 20 sq’ to 200 sq’ of floor coating per lb of chips. For full broadcast to refusal it takes substantially more, between 5-10 sq’/lb depending on the size flake. Full broadcast means chips are applied so heavy that the coating can’t absorb anymore and they are sitting on the surface.

Outdoor UV Stable Solid Color Chips standard size is 1/4″. Other sizes in 1/8″ and 1/16″ are available just write in the notes section of the bottom of the checkout page.
