EZ- Bond Primer | High-Performance | Excellent Adhesion | Corrosion Protection | Self- Leveling | Eco-Friendly Formula

EZ-Bond is a high performance, single component mult-purpose bonding primer that can be used on practically any surface. Designed to provide excellent adhesion on hard to coat surfaces and can receive a wide variety of high-performance topcoats including: Urethanes, Alkyds, Latex, Acrylic and Epoxy.

It will encapsulate substrates to prevent long term corrosion and flash rusting, while self-leveling and flowing for an easy application.

Primer: When applying to masonry, suggest Restore-N-Prep as a pretreatment to clean the surface

Topcoat: Compatible with urethanes, alkyds, latex, acrylic and epoxy topcoats.  EZ-Bond  also works great as a primer with our Cool Coat Thermal Barrier Coating on a wide variety of surfaces.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS FOLLOW THESE SIMPLE APPLICATION STEPS

Precautions:Use material in a well-ventilated area. Protect the work of other trades. Protect shrubbery and other plants with drop cloths. Protect automobiles and all other areas not to be coated from overspray. Remove overspray from any windows, automotbiles, metal, etc. as soon as possible should it occur. To prevent permanent staining, clean spills or leaks in a timely manner.

Surface Preparation: Prior to application, all surfaces shall be clean and dry with no oils, dirt, debris, rust, metal oxides, or minerals such as efflorescence, lime and calcium.These include but are not limited to oil, grease, dirt, wax, salts and loose paint. We recommend a light scarification for any existing glossy coating or substrate to creat an adhesion profile.

Metal Preparation: Clean metal by using the appropriate industry standards as governed by AMPP, formerly SSPC. Newly galvanized substrates should be tested for chromates. Refer to SP16 for propert testing and surface preparation standards.

Application Instructions: E-Z Bond l is supplied Ready-to-Use. DO NOT THIN. Mix thoroughly prior to use. Avoid application in windy weather. In hot weather, lightly dampen surfaces with clean fresh water to avoid premature or flash drying.

Brush, roll or spray. Ambient and surface temperatures must be above 55°F and relative humidity below 80%. Clean tools and equipment with soap and water. Reach out to your Exterior Performance Coatings Representative with any application questions or instructions

Test Panel: Always apply EX-Bond nto a mock wall or test panel. Test the wall or an actual surface area to determine acceptable color, surface porosity, application rates and methods before starting general application.

Safe Handling: Use product only with adequate ventilation and/or an appropriate cartridge type respirator. Avoid contact with skin and wear protective gloves. Read the Safety Data Sheet before using.

Storage: Store materials in a well-protected area between 45° and 90°F. Avoid freezing temperatures, direct sunlight, and moisture. Keep away from heat sources.
