MIXING AND APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

Test Panel
It is recommended to test substrates that may be over sprayed on for compatibility before proceeding. This can be achieved by using the tip of an object and applying a drop of material on the substrate. Allow to dry for about 10-15 minutes and then rinse off. If the substrate is unaffected, the material is ideal for that
application.

Surface Protection
Protect adjacent surfaces that are not scheduled to be cleaned from overspray and spillage.

Surface Condition and Temperatures
Do not apply material under 40°F. If temperatures will drop below freezing overnight, do not apply material. Do not allow the material to completely dry before thoroughly rinsing the substrate. If temperatures exceed 90F, cool the surface down by rinsing the substrate with water.

Application

*Protect adjacent surfaces that are not scheduled to be cleaned from overspray and spillage.  DO NOT DILUTE. MATERIAL IS READY TO
USE.

1. Mist-off the substrate to lightly wet before applying.
2. Apply using a garden sprayer or airless sprayer without atomizing.
3. Allow the product to dwell on the surface for 5-8 minutes.
4. Rinse* starting from the top of the substrate working down. Use even, long strokes that overlap to thoroughly rinse.

*Rinsing Tips: Use a 40-degree tip when using a pressure wash to reduce the potential to cause substrate damage. Always maintain at least 12” from the substrate. Overlap horizontal passes for a uniform finish. Follow the manufactures PSI recommendations based on the substrate that is being cleaned. Sensitive surfaces like sand faced brick should be cleaned with a garden hose with a nozzle.

PRODUCT STORAGE: Store in a cool and dry environment. Protect from freezing. Avoid storage in direct sunlight to preserve the materials integrity

LIMITATIONS:

• Avoid using on metals, woods, soil, and plants.
• Do not use on lime-face brick or polish stones.
• Low pressure rinsing is recommended for synthetic or dyed substrates to avoid color loss.

Contact or Exposure
Skin: Wash with soap and water and flush thoroughly. Eyes: Flush eyes with water for at least 15-minutes and seek medical attention. Inhalation: Move to fresh air immediately. If irritation develops, seek medical attention. Ingestion: Dilute by drinking lots of water and seek medical attention.

What is Restore-N-Prep used for?

Restore-N-Prep is designed to dissolve and remove efflorescence, mineral deposits, and stains from concrete, masonry, stone, tile, grout, brick, and other porous surfaces. It helps prepare surfaces before applying sealers, waterproofing products, epoxy systems, elastomeric coatings, or decorative finishes.

What is efflorescence on concrete or masonry?

Efflorescence is the white powdery mineral residue commonly found on concrete, brick, block walls, grout, and masonry surfaces. It forms when moisture moves through the substrate and leaves mineral salts behind on the surface. Restore-N-Prep is specifically formulated to dissolve and remove these mineral deposits.

What surfaces can Restore-N-Prep be used on?

Restore-N-Prep can be used on split faced block, smooth block, burnished block, brick and mortar, tile, stone, precast concrete, grout, garage floors, basements, exterior walls, warehouses, and manufacturing plants.

Can Restore-N-Prep be used before painting or coating concrete?

Yes. Restore-N-Prep is designed as a preparation cleaner before applying coatings and sealers. Cleaning the substrate first helps coatings bond better and improves appearance.

Can Restore-N-Prep be used before epoxy or polyaspartic floor coatings?

Yes. Restore-N-Prep helps clean concrete floors by removing mineral buildup and contaminants prior to applying epoxy systems or polyaspartic coatings like 6009 Epoxy or  E450SF Polyaspartic Topcoat. Proper surface preparation helps improve adhesion and coating performance.

Does Restore-N-Prep remove efflorescence from basement walls and concrete floors?

Yes. Restore-N-Prep is commonly used on basement walls, garage floors, concrete slabs, masonry walls, and other porous surfaces affected by efflorescence and mineral staining.

How do you stop efflorescence from coming back?

Efflorescence is caused by moisture moving through concrete or masonry. After cleaning with Restore-N-Prep, many surfaces benefit from applying a penetrating water repellent or efflorescence-blocking treatment to help reduce future mineral migration.

Can Restore-N-Prep help prepare damaged concrete before repairs?

Does Restore-N-Prep require scrubbing?

In many applications, minimal scrubbing is required. Restore-N-Prep is designed as a spray-on and rinse-off detergent that dissolves many mineral deposits and stains with reduced labor.

How do you apply Restore-N-Prep?

Lightly wet the surface first, then apply Restore-N-Prep using a garden sprayer or airless sprayer without atomizing. Allow the product to dwell for 5–8 minutes before rinsing thoroughly from top to bottom.

Does Restore-N-Prep damage glass or window frames?

No. According to the product information, Restore-N-Prep will not etch or damage glass or anodized window frames when used as directed.

Does Restore-N-Prep require a respirator?

Restore-N-Prep does not require respirators under normal use conditions according to the product information. Proper eye and skin protection are still recommended during application.

What temperature should Restore-N-Prep be applied in?

Restore-N-Prep should be applied when air and surface temperatures are between 40°F and 90°F. Do not apply if freezing temperatures are expected overnight.

Is Restore-N-Prep concentrated or ready to use?

Restore-N-Prep is available in both ready-to-use and concentrate formulas. The concentrate version is mixed with 3 quarts of water to make 1 gallon of cleaning solution.
