Zep Formula 50 Concentrate is a multi-purpose, water-based heavy duty cleaner and degreaser that contains a proven combination of synthetic detergents, water softeners, alkaline builders, corrosion inhibitors and a water-soluble solvent.  Authorized by the USDA for use in federally-inspected meat and poultry processing plants as a floor and wall cleaner

It can be used as a general-purpose cleaner, floor cleaner, wax and floor finish stripper, engine degreaser and for a variety of other cleaning challenges. May be used by hand or through steam or pressure cleaning equipment, automatic scrubbers, etc.

Comes in a case of (4) 1 gallon containers or (1) 5 gallon pail.  Zep Formula 50 is sold as a concentrate that allows for economical shipping and ability to mix with water based on nature of the cleaning job. Formula 50 can be diluted from one part concentrate to 5 parts water up to 50 parts water.

Directions:

Note: This concentrated product must be diluted as directed prior to use.

FLOORS: Composition Cleaning: Dilute 1 part Zep Formula 50 with 10 to 20 parts water and scrub floor in usual manner. Rinse floor thoroughly.

Terrazzo and Ceramic Tile Cleaning: Dilute 1 part Zep Formula 50 with 10 to 40 parts hot water. Scrub floors in usual manner. Rinse.

Concrete Cleaning: Dilute 1 part Zep Formula 50 with 5 to 20 parts water, depending upon soil. Scrub thoroughly and rinse.

Automatic Scrubbing Machines: Use 3 ozs. of Zep Formula 50 per gallon of water for general cleaning. For heavy-duty cleaning, degreasing of concrete, and wax stripping, use 6 ounces of Zep Formula 50 per gallon of water.

Steam Cleaning Machines for Equipment: Dilute 1 part Zep Formula 50 with 10 to 30 parts water, depending upon degree of soil.

Unpainted Machinery and Equipment (tool and die stamping machinery, newspaper presses, linotype machines, bottling equipment, textile machinery): Dilute 1 part Zep Formula 50 with 8 parts water. Apply by spraying, wiping or brushing. Dilution with hot water will increase cleaning power of Zep Formula 50. Allow solution to soak on machinery for two or three minutes and then wipe dry with clean cloth or rinse with water.

Ultrasonic Cleaning Units: Use 6 to 8oz of Zep Formula 50 per gallon. Operate units at 160° to 180°.

Coil Cleaning: FOLLOW DIRECTIONS EXACTLY. Dilute 1 part Zep Formula 50 with 12 to 30 parts water for steel coils, depending on degree of soil. Dilute 1 part Zep Formula 50 with 30 to 50 parts water for aluminum coils, depending on degree of soil. Allow maximum 2 minutes contact time and then rinse thoroughly.

Degreasing Automobile Engines: Dilute 1 part Zep Formula 50 with 8 parts hot water. For very greasy surfaces, allow to soak 15 to 20 minutes before rinsing with a strong stream of water

Whitewall Tires: Dilute 1 part Zep Formula 50 with 8 parts water. Spray solution on tires and allow to remain on surface approximately one minute. Rinse with a strong stream of water. Stubborn spots may need brushing.

NOTE: High concentrations of Zep Formula 50 can attack painted surfaces and polished aluminum. Test on an inconspicuous area before use, or use very dilute solution. ALWAYS RINSE IMMEDIATELY AFTER USE, ESPECIALLY ON GLASS SURFACES

DISPOSAL AND/OR SPILL INFORMATION: As with all cleaning and maintenance procedures, run-off from the cleaning or maintenance process should be diverted to a collection vessel or where permitted, to a sanitary sewer (consult local and state regulations) and not allowed to soak into the ground or to enter a storm sewer. If this product is spilled or contaminated and cannot be used, creating the need for disposal, absorb product on an inert absorbent material, and deposit in a clean container for disposal according to local authorities. Rinse area well with water.

STORAGE: Store tightly-closed container in dry area at temperatures between 40° (4°C) and 120°F (49°C). DO NOT store at temperatures below 32°F (0°C). Keep this product away from food and food products.
