Coat ZF ESD Low-VOC Dissipative Clear Floor Finish

Coat ZF is a state-of-the-art ESD floor maintenance clear finish with inherent static-dissipating properties, specifically formulated for application in computer rooms, electronic assembly areas, telephone sub-stations, or any other area where positive elimination of static electricity is a prime consideration. The unique static-dissipating ingredient is actively linked to the chemical structure of the polymer system, preventing wash-out, or leaching of the static dissipating properties.

Easy maintenance, good gloss, and durability are additional assets of this high-tech anti-static finish.  UL listed for slip resistance.

StaticWorx CoatZF floor finish is a hard, impenetrable finish, specially designed for use in high-traffic areas. Unlike most ESD waxes and finishes, StaticWorx CoatZF static-dissipative wax be can be applied to conductive tile and ESD coatings, such as StaticWorx GroundWorx epoxy, and replenished without diminishing the electrical performance of the ESD flooring surface.

Comprised of 18% solids, application is easy and improves productivity. Fast, easy-to-use Coat ZF provides a clean, hospital-like shine, can be applied by the regular cleaning crew, and requires no more work than routine waxing and buffing.

CoatZF is specially formulated for application in computer rooms, electronic assembly rooms, telephone sub-stations, or any area where static control is desired. Cross-linked polymer chemical structure prevents leaching or wash-out of static dissipative properties and provides long-lasting static protection.

Available in 5 gallon pail covering 5,000 sq’ project with 2 coats (2 coats required for proper protection – 3 coats recommended for first time application).  Recoat every 2 years or as needed.

Note: StaticWorx CoatZF is not intended for use on regular, non-ESD vinyl. While it will contribute some ESD properties, the floor must be tested regularly, as well as after each use.

Note: Some extra high traffic areas may require an initial 3-coat application.

CHEMICAL RESISTANCE TESTING

Spot testing per ASTM D1308 for Mustard, Ketchup, Lactic acid, vinegar, and lemon juice were performed and no physical damage to the exposed surface was observed. In 24 hour immersion testing, the following results were observed.

PERFORMANCE
Acetic Acid 10% Passed
Nitric acid 30% Passed
Sodium Hydroxide 50% Passed
Sulfuric Acid 30% Passed
Xylene Passed

Product Application: Best results are obtained when StaticWorx CoatZF is applied to surfaces which are 60° F. or warmer and in relative humidity conditions of between 40 – 65%. Remove old finish or wax with StaticWorx EcoScrub Degreaser (stripper). Follow directions on stripper label for application. Optimum appearance and gloss on initial application is obtained with three to five coats of finish. No more than 3 coats should be applied in an 8 hour period. Apply thin even coats, allowing the finish to dry, depending on humidity and temperature for approximately 30 – 45 minutes between coats.

For optimum results do not apply during humid conditions, and do not dry-buff or burnish

Recoat: Effective recoating of existing finish may be achieved in the following manner. Vacuum the floor to remove any loose dirt or dust. Wash the floor with StaticWorx ScrubWorx 20.20 to remove dirt and soil. Apply thin even coats, allowing the finish to dry, for approximately 30 minutes before resumption of foot traffic. The frequency of stripping and refinishing will vary somewhat depending on the environmental conditions within a particular facility, but field experience indicates that monthly refinishing
generally provides optimum results

Floor Cleaning: A routine maintenance program will provide the most satisfactory gloss retention and wear characteristics in any floor coating. Floor surfaces should be swept with an untreated mop daily to remove abrasive loose dirt and sand. Floors should be damp mopped with StaticWorx ScrubWorx 20.20 regularly, as needed, to remove soil, salt, and film deposits which can degrade the coatings’ conductive properties and gloss.

5 Step Static Killer Program – Ongoing Maintenance

  1. Remove any waxes or polishes from your old floor using StaticWorx EcoScrub floor stripper.
  2. Apply 2 coats of CoatZF per our instructions.
  3. Measure your floor with our ANSI/ESD S7.1 megohm meter:
    Your floor will measure <1.0 X 10 E9.
  4. Test several high traffic areas every 2 weeks.
  5. Only clean your floor with StaticWorx ScrubWorx Neutral Cleaner.
