VandlTop Sacrificial Anti-Graffiti Coating for Graffiti Removal Without Chemicals

Rainguard is North America’s #1 anti-graffiti coating mfg and VandlTop™ is their one-time use, sacrificial anti-graffiti coating product formulated to allow removal of graffiti tags without use of chemicals. VandlTop™ protects the environment and sensitive building surfaces which can be damaged with traditional graffiti removal products.

During the graffiti removal process, VandlTop™, acts a sacrificial product and melts away, which means it has to be re-applied after each removal to maintain protection against future graffiti attacks. VandlTop™ can be used to protect concrete, stucco, EIFS, brick, wood, metal, plastic and even painted ones. VandlTop™ with its matte finish and non-yellowing formula has little impact or change on the look of building surfaces.

VandlTop is available in ready-to-use 1 and 5 gallon containers. For graffiti protection allowing multiple tag removals without the need to reapply the anti-graffiti coating, look for Rainguard’s professional line of Non-Sacrificial Anti-Graffiti Coatings for Unpainted Surfaces.  They can sustain multiple graffiti tagging and removal cycles without having to be replaced like sacrificial coatings do and warrantied up to 10 years.

Application method Use low pressure hand pump or garden sprayer, roller, brush

FOLLOW THESE SIMPLE APPLICATION STEPS

The most efficient and easiest application method is using a hand pump or airless sprayer.  For smaller projects or ones where overspray is not allowed, use a roller.  For the smallest projects such as protecting a sign, a brush is an option. Do a rough measurement of how far each gallon or 5 gallon pail should go per coat and then make sure you are applying at that coverage rate.

Using spray equipment, apply VANDLTOP at recommended coverage rates.  Apply in a fine mist, cross- hatched pattern to build up the wet coating. As soon as the entire surface has been coated, immediately repeat process with a second pass. Depending on the porosity of the surface, a light second step may be necessary to complete that coat. If there is a rundown of product, then doing a dry backroll will smooth out the rundown and avoid the possibility of white streaks showing up after drying.  The next coat can be applied when the product becomes completely clear, usually in 1 – 2 hours depending on temperature and humidity.

Clean equipment with soap and water when finished.

Painted Surfaces
Allow newly-painted and stucco surfaces to fully chemically cure before application of VANDLTOP. Recent formulations of pigmented paints, coat-ings, and integrally-colored stucco colorant additives contain biocides. These biocides must be released before application of VANDLTOP. Please consult the manufacturer of the paint/stucco coating to determine the chemical curing period. Rainguard is not responsible for yellowing or color differences as a result of application of the VANDLTOP over uncured paint or integrally-colored stucco surfaces. Allow the VANDLTOP product to cure 5-7 days before removing graffiti.

GRAFFITI REMOVAL:
The most effective removal process with VANDLTOP is by using a hot water power washer which will melt the VANDLTOP as the graffiti is removed at the same time.  You can also use Rainguard’s VANDLCLEAN SUPER GRAFFITI REMOVER.
