Application Instructions

Test Area

Due to variances in surfaces and conditions, always test in a small, inconspicuous area before using on complete project.

Mixing

Mix Lead Out Activation Powder package thoroughly with Lead Out Lead Paint Remover Gel. Once mixed, the product will only
work for 24 hours to convert lead particles in the paint.

Application

Apply a medium to thick layer on surface using a brush or similar tool. Applying too thin will cause Lead Out to dry out before removal is complete. Use a scraper to check if the coating is softened down to the surface. When the coating is completely softened, remove with a scraper. Collect the converted lead coating(s) in a suitable container for disposal.

Clean Up

Use E700DG Degreaser or water and a scrub brush, mop, or power washer to clean remaining thin residue. Remove excess coating(s) and Leadout before using a power washer for final cleaning. Allow surface to dry before further preparations.

Usage Tips from the Pros

1. For large application areas, use a professional airless sprayer or a 4-stage HVLP sprayer.

2.Testing kits for lead content are generally available at hardware stores.

3.When used outdoors, cover with a 2mil or thicker plastic to help keep Lead Out wet and working.

4. For heavy lead content, contact us for extra activation powder

Precautions

Concrete surfaces may darken with use of E690PB. Protect plants and vegetation with a plastic drop cloth. Always use care to prevent overspray from getting on surfaces other than the one being prepped or cleaned.

In case of contact with eyes, flush thoroughly with water. Use in a well-ventilated area to avoid respiratory irritation, drowsiness or dizziness. Avoid prolonged contact with skin. Wear safety glasses to avoid splatters causing eye irritation, and chemical-resistant gloves to protect from skin irritation and dryness, etc.
