Product Description

1007 Polyurea Coating is Fast Setting – Waterproof – Spray Applied

1007 Polyurea Coating is a very fast 10 – 30 second set time, 2-component 100% solids, pure polyurea coating with outstanding ASTM tested chemical, abrasion & impact resistance, flexible, waterproof protection, highly resistant to corrosive environments for use in chemical plants, industrial facilities and marine application.  Protection for concrete, wood, metal and other surfaces.

For best results, the 1007 should be applied to concrete surfaces as part of an ASTC “coating system” to reduce concrete out-gassing as required, using the ASTC CMW 8000 moisture vapor barrier and ASTC 7001 polyurethane primer prior to application of the 1007. The 1007 polyurea coating is applied via high pressure heated equipment such as the HV-20/35 or larger.

Available in 110 gallon kits in black, medium gray and kahki tan standard colors

Where is 1007 used?

  • Parking garages
  • Secondary containment with non-skid
  • Corrosive barrier, protective coating for processing equipment
  • Concrete tanks & steel tanks
  • Secondary containment walls and floors
  • All industrial service surfaces
  • Geotextile Containment Applications
  • Marine environments

Moisture Vapor Reduction
1007 should be applied to concrete surfaces as part of a “systems approach”. Use with CMW vapor barrier treatment for the concrete and the 7001 as the primer, pinholes are reduced.

Prime when needed using the 7001 primer.  The 1007 cross links with the 7001 primer and products excellent results when used together as a system.  . Prime 2 to 4 hours prior to the 1007 application for best results.  Spray the polyuria on the primer only after the primer has become tack free.

Note:  The best spray application results are obtained coating concrete when the ambient temperature is decreasing.  In applications where it is not possible to use the temperature to your advantage it is suggested that the CMW 8000 be used in conjunction with 7001 primer and the 1007 polyurea spray.

Concrete must have a minimum 28 day cure prior to application. Remove any curing agent, form release materials, oils, wax, moisture or any material that may effect bonding. Clean and wash to remove contaminants and maintain pH 8.0-11.0. *

Perform a Moisture Vapor Test before making the coating application on concrete. Provide rough profile minimum 2 mils. Review ASTM D4259 Abrading Concrete and ASTM F1869 Measuring Moisture Vapor Emission. Seal/repair all bug-holes, cracks and spalls, see ASTC data sheets on 830, 4034 and 3004 (joints). Steel; Near white sand blast per SSPC-SP10/NACE 2. Welds, seams, edges, etc. grind/blast smooth and provide 2 mil profile. Immersion – review SSPC-SP1.

Use only heated, high pressure spray equipment & impingement gun. Maintain a fluid pressure minimum of 2,000 psi and minimum heat 160oF. Substrate Surface temperature should be -20F to 120F. Apply at no less than 5F above dew point.   Apply at specified mil thickness over primer as required for the application.

Spraying 1007 requires special equipment, user must be a professional applicator qualified in the use of high performance polyuria materials and specialty application equipment.

The finish of this product is best using a stipple surface with the 1007 over freshly applied 1007.

Black, Medium Gray, Kaki Tan. Note: Aromatic systems will shift color from exposure to UV. Dark colors resists color change more then light colors.

Do not use on wet surfaces or expose part A to moisture. Keep out of direct sunlight, store drum kits on wood pallets at room temperature. Always mix/agitate the part B before and while using using. Pre-heat drums as needed per environmental temperature. Best results over vapor barrier and/or compatible primer. Protect from cold during storage and shipping.
