Industrial Site Utilizes E15M and 1501HN to Protect
DESCRIPTION
Industrial Site in Auburn, Washington needed a solution to protect against a secondary containment. Chemical resistance, durability and strength of the coating system was what they were looking for. For the size of the project, they broke up the project into phases spanning a couple of months period. They first started with the E15M Epoxy Mastic Primer. This primer is a high solids direct to metal chemical resistant steel primer and is able to be applied to vertical surfaces as well. This was applied at 200 sq’ ft a gallon.
For the horizontal floor surfaces, the E1501 HN Novolac Epoxy was applied at 75 sq ft per gallon. This epoxy was specifically chosen because it has excellent resistance to acids, alkalis, salts and most industrial chemicals. It is used in tough, corrosive chemical environments and is extremely tough with high wearing properties.
For the vertical surfaces the E555VN Novolac Epoxy was applied at 200 sq’ ft per gallon. Like the E1501HN, the E55VN provides excellent resistance to acids, alkalis, salts and most industrial chemicals. It also has great abrasion resistance and is great for secondary containment surfaces.
