Barndeminium Floor Revamped With 6009 Epoxy & Summer Day Flakes
DESCRIPTION
Customer looking to rejuvenate the bottom floor of a barndeminium decided on a professional quality epoxy, full decorative flake broadcast and polyaspartic coating system.
The concrete floor was thoroughly prepared prior to application of product. The floor was prepped with a diamond grinder and then pressure washed.
They used a 2 step application process:
First, they applied 12 gallons of 6009 Epoxy in Light Grey color at 10 mils thick and broadcast 200lbs of ¼” Summer Day Blend Flakes into the 6009 while it was wet right after application.
The final step was completed 10 hours later with 14 gallons at 11.5 mils thick of the 5500-EX Clear Polyaspartic high gloss topcoat.

PRODUCTS USED:
6009 Epoxy Light Grey Color 100% Solids : Basecoat 6009 Epoxy applied at 160 sq’/gallon or 10 mils thick. Total 12 gallons used.
Summer Day Vinyl Flakes 1/4″: Summer Day Vinyl Flakes 1/4″ broadcast into 6009 Epoxy while wet. Used 200lbs for full broadcast.
5500-EX Polyaspartic Clear : Clear polyaspartic topcoat applied at 135 sq’/gallon (11.5 mils thick). Total 14 gallons used.
