Cooling Tower Protected with  E591 Wet Surface Epoxy and 5500 Polyaspartic

DESCRIPTION

Customer had a property with an interior cooling tower room 11′ x 16′ that has a 5′ x 12′ tower sitting in the center of the room. There was about an 8″ clearance from the floor to the bottom of the tower. The concrete had deteriorated substantially in the room and there were large rough areas both underneath the tower and near the floor drains.

They utilized the E591 as the floor was often wet from both the tower and the elements as the room. Benefits of the E591 wet surface epoxy is able to be applied on wet or under water surfaces , can be applied horizontally or vertically and has outstanding impact and abrasion resistance.  The E591 wet surface epoxy in Dark Gray was applied in two coats and one with sand around the tower itself.

The 5500 Polyaspartic in Dark Gray was then applied underneath since the clearance was so tight by the tower.
