Chicago Photography Studio Shines with HyperFLEX Epoxy 5500 Polyaspartic
DESCRIPTION
A Professional Photographer in Chicago, Illinois wanted to create a beautiful white room for his new photo studio. To accomplish this, he turned to our Industrial Grade 100% Solids HyperFLEX Flexible Epoxy and 87% Solids 5500 Polyaspartic.
Prior to starting, the concrete surface was thoroughly abraded with a Concrete Diamond Grinder. Grinding the floor ensures that the surface is rough enough to adhere to an industrial grade epoxy or polyaspartic coating.
First, he applied a thick coat of HyperFLEX Clear Epoxy at 90 sq’/gallon to the wood floor area. HyperFLEX is great for wood floors for use as a flexible membrane designed to absorb movement that can occur and prevent cracking of the coating. It then allows you to put a decorative coating system onto the surface. (note: when using HyperFLEX as a flexible membrane it is not recommended to use with any pigment but apply as a clear for best results and to apply at 90-94 sq’/gallon)
He then applied two coats of the 5500 Polyaspartic, with white pigment added, to create this stunning look.
