Shop Floor Shines with E707HB Epoxy, Vinyl Flakes and E344QC Polyaspartic
DESCRIPTION
Customer was looking to protect his workshop floor. He did this using a combination of our E5015 Epoxy Primer, E707HB Epoxy with decorative Vinyl Flakes added in for a light broadcast, and E344QC Polyaspartic for a protective topcoat.
The concrete floor was thoroughly prepared prior to application of product. The floor was prepped with a concrete diamond grinder.
They used a 3-step application process:
First, they applied 3 gallons of E5015 Epoxy Primer in a light grey color. E5015 Epoxy Primer is an excellent option for minimizing the potential for outgassing of the concrete which can cause a significant amount of bubbles in the basecoat epoxy.
Second, they applied 6 gallons of our 100% solids commercial grade E707HB Epoxy at 133’ per gallon with a medium broadcast density (5lbs) of Orbit Blend Vinyl Chips applied directly to the epoxy while it was still wet.
Finally, the applied a top coat of 3 gallons of our high solids E344QC Polyaspartic at 270’ per gallon to encapsulate the flakes and provide a clear protective top coat for the system.
