Vacation Rental Property Protects Custom Floor from Damage with VandlGuard IsoFree Urethane
DESCRIPTION
A rental property company in Springfield, Missouri had recently installed a custom Ocean-Themed floor throughout their Short-Term Vacation Rental Property. Given the stringent cleaning procedures in place since the Corona Virus Pandemic of 2020, there was significant concern about the effect that constant cleaning with approved chemicals would have on the floors’ surface.
Since the floor is cleaned almost daily with a bleach solution, it was decided to protect the flooring with a tough, chemically resistant clear anti-graffiti coating. The product they selected was the VandlGuard IsoFree Urethane Anti-Graffiti Clear Coating in a matte finish to match the gloss level of the ocean themed floor.
The VandlGuard IsoFree is a top-of-the-line non-sacrificial anti-graffiti coating offering superior chemical resistance to repeated graffiti tags that require chemical removal. It has been used to protect a vast array of sensitive painted art projects in different indoor and outdoor environments subject to repeated graffiti tagging and subsequent chemical removals. Its non-sacrificial, chemically resistant properties are what made it an excellent fit for this floor where there would be almost daily cleanings.
They applied 2 coats of the IsoFree in a matte finish over the 350’ flooring space, 1 gallon per coat, to ensure it was fully protected. To help protect tenants from slips and falls, they also mixed anti-slip polybeads into the coating to provide texture and slip resistance while having a minimal impact on the floor’s visual appearance.
