DESCRIPTION
Badly damaged high traffic concrete floor with spalls and cracks and exposed aggregate needed repair. Initial application of polymer concrete product to level off floor and cover exposed aggregate in selected areas. ASTC Polymers’ 4034 Polyurea used to repair cracks and spalls in other areas and the 5500-V Polyaspartic in a white color was used to protect the vertical curbing along the walls.
Final step was to apply the ASTC Polymers’ 6009 Epoxy Floor Coating. For additional strength, durability and anti-slip for their high traffic floor, a 30 grit silica sand was 100% broadcast to refusal into the basecoat of the 6009. After it was tack free, the loose sand was vacumed up. Then a topcoat application of 6009 Epoxy was made to complete the project.
