Homeowner Upgrades Backyard Pine Fence with EXPERT Semi-Transparent Penetrating Oil Based Stain

DESCRIPTION

Residential homeowner was looking to upgrade new fence and settled on the EXPERT Semi-Transparent (Pecan Color) Wood Stain & Sealer product line. They followed EXPERT’s recommended 3 step process as well.

Step 1:  To begin, they utilized EXPERT Eco Cleaner in order to remove and clean organic growth stains (such as algae, mold and mildew).  It’s important to prepare the wood before any stain by removing any oxidation or organic growth in order to provide the best appearance and final results. This not only helps to restore wood’s natural beauty but allows it to get your project ready for EXPERRT stain & seal.

Step 2:  Next, they applied EXPERT Clean & Bright Wood Brightener to restore proper PH in wood and opens wood grain to accept more stain. This also helps to neutralize and brighten the wood after any alkaline chemical.

Step 3:  Finally, they used 9 gallons of the EXPERT Stain & Seal Penetrating (non-film forming stain) in the Pecan Color (1 of 5 colors available) to provide both an upgrade in the color of the fence and to provide a protective finish coating. Application was with an airless sprayer using a 4-14 fine tip which allowed spraying a flood coat (spraying until product just stopped absorbing) 1 panel at a time.  (for more experienced users and faster application can use a 5-19 tip).  This was followed by a dry backroll (no new material added to the roller) to smooth out any runs.

The richer semi-transparent color still highlights the natural wood grain and it prevents drying out which can cause warping or cracking. This coating is also Mildew & UV Resistant and can be applied in low temperatures. Rain-Safe soon as 1 hour after application and maintenance is easy to recoat without any stripping, sanding or scraping.
