Little Rock VA Healthcare Facility Uses Safety E650 Non-Skid Epoxy to Protect Wood Wheelchair Ramp
DESCRIPTION
A VA Healthcare Facility in North Little Rock, AR needed to provide a slip resistant surface to their wooden wheelchair ramp at their facility. The surface needed to be able to stand up to wear and tear from frequent use and provide a safe, non-slip/non-skid surface. To fulfill this need, they turned to the E650 which is an military grade non-skid epoxy that meets US Navy Military Specification Mil-PRF-24467B Non-Skid Deck Coating requirements for safe co-efficient of friction (COF) as well as ADA and OSHA anti-slip protection guidelines when properly applied.
Prior to application, the wood surface was sanded in order to open up the pores, which helps ensure the epoxy properly adheres to the surface. They then applied the E15M Primer to ensure they received the best results from the E-650.
Once sanded, the customer applied theE650 Epoxy to the ramp using a phenolic core roller .
