DENTAL OFFICE CREATES UNIQUE NATURAL CONCRETE LOOK
Dental office project to refurbish their office concrete floor with a tough, durable coating system able to handle a high volume of foot traffic while creating a unique natural look accented with metallic marbled epoxy pigments mixed into a clear 100% solids commercial grade epoxy topcoated with a low gloss high solids urethane topcoat.
They chose the HyperREZ UV Resistant 100% solids commercial grade epoxy topcoated with the low gloss water based H2O ZioTHANE Low Gloss Urethane. To create a moderate anti-slip surface, they mixed the SSR-20 Anti-Slip round synthetic polybeads into the ZioTHANE Urethane topcoat.
Most metallic systems use a solid color primer but by using a clear epoxy with no color, the natural look of the concrete was accented using two metallic pigment colors.
The concrete floor was thoroughly prepared prior to application of product. The floor was prepped with a concrete diamond grinder, washed and vacuumed.
