Box Truck Roof Protected from Warping with Clear Cool Coat
DESCRIPTION
The owner of a Box Truck in Amarillo Texas was experiencing a rather peculiar problem: The blazing heat of a Texas summer was causing the truck’s fiberglass roof to warp in the hotter months. He wanted to fix the problem prior to installing solar panels on the roof. After thoroughly researching the issue, he determined that the best path forward was to apply a Thermal Barrier Paint.
He applied two coats of our Cool Coat Clear Thermal Barrier Paint across the roof of his truck. Once it had cured, he noted that not only had the issue with the roof warping gone away, but the internal temperature of his storage area was significantly cooler as well!
Note: The Cool Coat application is visible in the pictures as it darkened the fiberglass surface.
