Blok-Lok Water Repellant Protects Walmart Exterior
DESCRIPTION
A Walmart Neighborhood Market was being built in the Milwaukee suburbs and needed an industrial grade penetrating water repellant to protect its exterior walls from moisture without any change in surface appearance. The general contractor chose the Blok-Lok Silane Siloxane to protect the CMU split faced block surface.
Blok-Lok is a professional grade vertical wall siloxane silane water sealer that sets the industry standard for superior vertical surface moisture protection. For this project, they used the concentrated version of Blok-Lok which is easy use, only requiring water to be mixed with the concentrate right before use.
They spray applied 300 gallons of Blok-Lok Silane Siloxane to all of the Walmart’s exterior walls, utilizing an extension sprayer to reach the upper levels of the walls and a flood coat spray technique. Using a flood coat is a simple but effective way to super saturate a surface by applying so much product that it runs 6″ – 12″ below where it is being applied. This ensures that a porous surface is properly protected. As Blok-lok completely penetrates and leaves no surface film, it does not change the appearance of the surface it is applied to.
