COMPANY REMODELS PRINT ROOM & REPAIRS FLOOR
DESCRIPTION
Profilform was remodeling their print room which included a new floor coating system. However they had moisture problems coming up through the concrete and needed a reliable mitigation system to prevent damage to their new coating. They chose a 2 part protection system with our CMW 8000 Liquid Moisture Vapor Barrier and 6007 Wet Condition Epoxy topcoated with the 5500-EX Polyaspartic.
The concrete floor was thoroughly prepared prior to application of product. The floor was prepped with a concrete diamond grinder, washed and vacuumed. Then they spray applied the CMW 8000 Liquid Moisture Vapor Barrier which penetrates deep into the concrete, reacting chemically to form a growing crystalline gel to block moisture coming up from underneath. They then applied one coat of the 6007 Wet Condition Epoxy which can withstand up to 20 psi vapor pressure for further protection against moisture. Finally a decorative topcoat of the 5500-EX Polyaspartic was applied in a wheat/light tan color.
