East Coast Bays Road Retaining Wall
DESCRIPTION
New retaining wall being built along the East Coast Bays Road on the North Shore of Auckland, New Zealand required a graffiti resistant coating to protect against tagging. The Rainguard VandlGuard system was selected.
Retaining wall was first cleaned with power washing and 3 days later an initial coat of the Rainguard Micro-seal Water Repellent/Sealer was made by spray application followed by two coats of the VandlGuard Non-Sacrificial Anti-Graffiti Coating spray applied. Once dry, the system presented a clear, colorless low sheen protection against permanent damage from future tagging.
Pictures show the cleaning and application of the Micro-seal and VandlGuard right after construction was completed.
