Curb Street Signs Protected With 5500 Polyasartic Clear High Gloss Coating
DESCRIPTION

Wanted product that doesn’t yellow and stands up to the outdoor weather conditions The 5500 was chosen as it offers a tough surface, with an attractive high gloss finish and excellent abrasion and chemical resistance that doesn’t yellow in the outdoor sun like epoxy and other products will.
Mixed parts A and B of the 5500 Polyaspartic very thoroughly before each application, area clean, & lightly wiped down with 95% alcohol, & dried before applying 2.0 to 2.5 ounces depending on the size of the sign. The typical curb sign is about 7 inch x 24 inch area.
One coat of the 5500 was applied as a clear primer and one coat as a clear protective topcoat.

5500 Polyaspartic Aliphatic Coating: Clear color 5500 used first as primer before appyling colored acrylic paint with street number and design and then 5500 clear applied as topcoat to protect curb sign. Both primer and topcoat applied at rate of 120 sq’/gallon (12 mils thick).
