COOL COAT THERMAL BARRIER PAINT COOLS FLORIDA HOME
DESCRIPTION
Homeowner wanting to complete their Net Zero Energy Usage project for their Florida home decided on the Cool Coat Thermal Barrier Paint in the ready-to-use white color. Living in Miami, the hot summer sun really heated things up inside the house before their project. They had already installed an extensive solar panel system, special thermal insulating glass windows and doors, extra attic insulation so the next logical step was to cool the walls.
They chose the ready-to-use white color Cool Coat for maximum effectiveness. After applying 2 coats of the Cool Coat on three of the walls and 3 coats on the 4th South facing wall, the customer was quoted as saying: “We have noticed the walls cool to the touch when hit with direct sunlight where before the wall would be burning hot on the surface”. They went on to emphasize just how hot the walls got before that they would literally burn your hand and now they seemed cool by comparison. The customer commented on the effect inside the house: “I’m monitoring AC use and it seems like the unit is cycling on and off less than before”. They plan on documenting the impact throughout the rest of 2019.
