Cool Coat Lowers Internal Temperature of Metal Flat Pack Containers Housing Sensitive Industrial Equipment
DESCRIPTION
A client in Texas had a need to regulate the internal temperature of their Flat Pack Containers (116” Wide X 84” Wide X 76.4” High modular container) used in the field. The reason for this was to properly protect temperature sensitive industrial equipment from the hot South Texas sun.
They decided to test our Cool Coat Thermal Barrier White Colored Coating by Painting the Exterior Side of the Metal Roof of a Flat Pack Container, painting one and leaving another unpainted. Their results shown below confirm a 10°F temperature reduction in the afternoon heat of the protected container with 2 coats of Cool Coat Thermal Barrier Coating vs an unpainted container making the inside temperature only 4°F higher than the ambient outdoor temperature!
Project was a success and customer is rolling this out to all their Flat Pack Containers.
