POLE BARN GETS NEW LOOK WITH CHIPPED STONE FLAKES & EPOXY/POLYASPARTIC
DESCRIPTION
Customer wanted unique stone look for new concrete floor in a pole barn. They chose the 6009 Epoxy and 5500 Polyaspartic floor coating system decorated with 1/4″ Garnet colored Chipped Stone Flakes to create a grate looking high gloss, natural stone looking surface.
The concrete floor was thoroughly prepared prior to application of product. The floor was prepped with a diamond grinder and then pressure washed.
They applied one coat of the 6009 100% solids Epoxy in a Dark Gray color and then broadcast a heavy application of 1/4″ Chipped Stone Flakes. The project was completed with a topcoat of the 5500-EX (extended set time) Polyaspartic for increased chemical and abrasion resistance. The SSR-20 Polybead Anti-Slip Additive was mixed into the 5500-Ex while mixing Parts A and B to provide an anti-slip surface when wet.

Garnet Color Chipped Stone Flakes 1/4″ : Chips applied at rate of 1 lb chips for every 30 sq’. (Heavy Broadcast rate)
5500-EX Polyaspartic Clear : Topcoat for additional abrasion & chemcial resistance applied at 200 sq’/gallon
SSR-20 : Anti slip polybead additive
