INSTRUCTIONS FOR RESEALING EPOXY RIVER ROCK
Deck must be cleaned and permitted to dry 2 to 3 days before resealing. Before getting the deck wet, check for mildew and build up of white areas. White areas are usually caused by chlorine or bird baths. If there are white spots use vinegar, Lime A Way or Etch & Degreaser. All three products shoudl be used full strength and scrubbed with an acid brush and rinsed thoroughly. They are also listed in order of strength. If mildew exists, use liquid chlorine.
MIXING INSTRUCTIONS:
WHEN MIXING EPOXIES, NEVER MIX MORE THAN ONE GALLON AT A TIME; IT IS BEST TO MIX IN A BUCKET LARGER THAN ONE (1) GALLON CAPACITY. DO NOT CHANGE THE MIX RATIO. THE EPOXY IS DESIGNED AS A 3:1 MIX. SMALLER AMOUNTS CAN BE
MIXED, BUT THE RATIO HAS TO REMAIN AT 3:1. NEVER ATTEMPT TO MIX EPOXY IN A ROLLER TRAY.
STEP 1: Mix 3 parts Resin with 1 part Cure in a separate container.
STEP 3: Apply with a medium nap paint roller by rolling east-west and north-south. After dipping roller into the
epoxy, excess epoxy should be knocked off using a paint screen to prevent thick and thin areas on the deck.
NOTE: You need to change mixing container after every two Gallons and also the roller cover.
Working time: 15 – 20 minutes.
After sealing, allow 24 hours drying time before replacing furniture or walking on deck.
Any unmixed resin and cure has a 1 year shelf life
1 Gallon Kit covers approximately 150 sq. feet.
