COVERAGE RATE

Coverage rates will vary depending on thickness of the coating on the substrate. Multiple layers can require a thicker application of stripper and longer dwell time. Expect to use about 100 square feet per gallon depending on a variety of conditions. Surface irregularities and design features will decrease coverage rates.

APPLICATION TEMPERATURE

Suggested application temperatures are between 60°-80°F. Lower temperatures will require longer dwell times. Temperatures above 80°F with RH below 50% may require a plastic sheet to cover application area to mitigate drying of remover.

Do not apply material under 40°F. If temperatures will drop below freezing overnight, do not apply material. Do not allow the material to completely dry before thoroughly rinsing the substrate. If temperatures exceed 90°F, cool the surface down by rinsing the substrate with water.

Application Instructions 

DO NOT DILUTE. MATERIAL IS READY TO USE.

ALWAYS apply a mockup or test area to ensure compatibility and required dwell time of EasyClean Stripper. The user/applicator is responsible to determine the suitability of the product for its intended application and is solely responsible for the outcome and liability in connection with the results.

1. Shake well before using. Cover, protect, mask, areas. Protect plants and vegetation or any sensitive materials from application.
2. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is recommended for eyes and skin protection.
3. Suggested application temperatures are between 60°-80°F. Lower temperatures will require longer dwell times. Temperatures above 80°F with RH below 50% may require a plastic sheet to cover application area to mitigate drying of remover.
4. Apply EasyClean Stripper uniformly to surface with an airless sprayer, roller, brush, or putty knife at a recommended wet film thickness of 15 mils, completely covering all paints and coatings to be removed.
5. Dwell time and efficiency of removal are determined by the composition of the existing paint or coating system and the generic markup of those materials. Softening of the existing paint or coating system can be accomplished in as little as 5 mins or up to 24hrs. Dwell time is determined by applicator.
6. Use a paint scraper or putty knife to lift softened materials from flat surfaces or a stiff bristle brush for ornate or irregular profiled areas. Water and power washing can be used to remove loosen material and to reactivate unused or dried EasyClean Bio Stripper.
7. Reapplication may be necessary if desired effect is not obtained, or removal is not down to the original surface.
8. Residue and consumed remover should be cleaned or washed from surface to eliminate contamination. Let surface dry before reapplication of paints or coatings.

Clean Up: Clean all application equipment with soap and water. Do not store Easyclean Stripper or removed material in metal containers

Precautions

Avoid using directly on metals, woods, soil, and plants. Do not use directly on lime-face brick or polish stones. Low pressure rinsing is recommended for synthetic or dyed substrates to avoid color loss. Use material in a well-ventilated area. Protect the work of other trades. Protect shrubbery and other plants with drop cloths. Protect automobiles and all other areas not to be coated from overspray.

Remove overspray from any windows, automobiles, metal, etc. as soon as possible should it occur. To prevent permanent staining, clean spills or leaks in a timely manner. All surfaces to be coated should be clean of any dirt and grime, efflorescence, lime run, form oils and release agents, grease, mud, excess mortar, and mold and mildew, etc.

All cracks should be pointed or caulked. All voids, beeholes, masonry surface defects and openings such as conduits, pipes, drains, door frames, vents, air conditioner openings, electrical openings, control joints, or any dissimilar materials should be repaired using urethane or other approved patching.

Do not apply material under 40°F. If temperatures will drop below freezing overnight, do not apply material. Do not allow the material to completely dry before thoroughly rinsing the substrate. If temperatures exceed 90°F, cool the surface down by rinsing the substrate with water. Store materials in a well-protected area at 45°- 90°F. Avoid freezing temperatures, direct sunlight, & moisture. Keep away from heat sources

Safe Handling: Wear proper eye protection while using or around someone applying EasyClean Bio Stripper. Protect skin from direct contact. Avoid contact with eyes, skin, or clothing. Read the Safety Data Sheet before using.

In case of contact or exposure

Skin: Wash with soap and water thoroughly.

Eyes: Flush eyes with water for at least 15 minutes and seek medical attention.

Inhalation: Move to fresh air immediately. If irritation develops, seek medical attention

Ingestion: Dilute by drinking lots of water and seek medical attention.
