Chem-Put E32 High Build Epoxy Coating for Chemical Exposures | 100% Solids
Chem-Put E32 is a solvent free epoxy coating designed for applications where resistance to aggressive chemical exposure is of paramount importance. 3:2 mix by volume, 250 mil single coat application and excellent resistance to acids and a wide variety of solvents creates an easy to apply, field friendly solution for difficult coating applications.
Based on a unique blend of epoxy polymers and aliphatic curing agents, Chem-Put E32 can be applied in high humidity conditions and on wet surfaces by pad application. Cures with no blushing or other ill-effects.
Once applied to wet surface, product can be submerged and cured under water. NOTE- product cannot sustain wave movement until fully cured!

Product Use Instructions
Surface Preparation
General: Surface should be clean and free of contamination such as greases, oils, or other residues. Clean with detergent wash then flush with fresh water. Abrasive blast metals to SSPC-SP10 "Near White Blast" standards with a 1.5-3 mil anchor profile to provide optimal adhesion performance. Contact TFT for confirmation on alternative surface preparation methods.
Existing Coatings: If existing coatings are unsound /loose they must be removed by abrasive blasting before application. Worn but sound coatings may be prepared by vigorous scrubbing with detergent / stripper using an aggressive janitorial scrubbber. The surface should be clean and abraded before coating.
Concrete: Surfaces should be allowed to cure for a minimum of 20 days before coating. Excessive weak surface laitance must be removed, preferably by abrasive sweeping before coating. Aged, uncoated concrete surfaces are best prepared by abrasive sweeping. Contamination by oil or grease should be removed with an industrial degreaser before abrasive blasting or mechanical profiling as this will significantly effect coating adhesion.
Mixing Procedures
This material is a two-component product, premeasured to produce the desired kit size once part A and B are mixed.
- For small kits, a Jiffy type mixer with a high torque motor is recommended for proper blending. Pour the curing agent into the base and mix for about 1 minute, taking care to reach all corners and walls to eliminate unmixed material. Check for color streaks which represent unmixed A or B. Unmixed material will never harden. Material may immediately be used.
- For mixing by hand, dispense material in a 3:2 mix ratio by volume onto a clean mixing surface. Thoroughly mix material with a mixing stick/ spatula until both parts are completely blended. Unmixed material may still be present on the mixing surface at the edges or pressed into the surface, only use mixed material for application.
Application
Chem-Put E32 is designed to be applied by trowel at high mil thickness. After thoroughly mixing material, apply to surface by trowel and firmly press material into the work surface to ensure good adhesion to the substrate. Fast application speed or light pressure to the surface can create air pockets and/ or loosely adhered sections that will reduce wear protection. Once material has been thoroughly applied to the surface, additional material can be applied until desired thickness is achieved.
Note: Pot life and reaction time is heavily dependent on temperature. As a general guide, every 18F above 77F will half pot life and cure time. Colder temperatures will thicken material and slow cure time.
Curing Before Service
May be immersed in fresh or salt water immediately after application. It will cure to a hard film within about 14 hours and is suitable for traffic after this time. Allow at least (3) days at 77F before subjecting to aggressive service from industrial solvents and similar materials.
Once applied to wet surface, product can be submerged and cured under water. NOTE- product cannot sustain wave movement until fully cured!
Safety: This is a hazardous material if misused. Read and understand the Safety Data Sheets (SDS's) before use
