Rainguard Brick Sealer Helps Stop Water Damage

Premium Grade Brick Sealer can help Protect, restore and extend the life of your home with a clear finish silane siloxane water repellent coating.   Designed specifically for brick surfaces, Brick Sealer  is made from the best water repellent chemicals in the construction market  It is formulated by blending silanes and siloxanes that have long been trusted by architects, engineers and building owners around the globe.

Brick is a very porous building material and wind driven rain can come through untreated exterior brick walls and brick chimneys.  Brick Sealer is designed to help stop this problem.

What makes Brick Sealer different? A proprietary ingredient called Micro-Lok™. This additive ensures a long lasting mechanical bond and creates a hydrophobic barrier that is not affected by weathering, salt, dirt, freezing temperatures, UV light and wind-driven rain.

Available in a ready-to-use 16 oz spray, 1 gallon and 5 gallon container and money saving concentrates with your choice of a 1 quart concentrate which makes 2 gallons and a 1 quart concentrate which makes 5 gallons of ready-to-use product.

Fast, easy clean up. Simply use soap and water directly after application is completed. Be sure to clean any overspray on glass and decorative metals.

WORKING WITH CONCENTRATES

PART # SIZE MAKES INSTRUCTIONS
SP-3002 32 oz 2 Gal Empty 32 oz into 1 gal container, fill with water, stir (7 parts water to 1 part Brick Sealer)
SP-3003 32 oz 5 Gal Empty 32 oz into 5 gal container, fill with water, stir (19 part water to 1 part Brick Sealer)

FOLLOW THESE SIMPLE APPLICATION STEPS
Clean and Prep:
Before pressure washing apply and brush out stains using Cleaner/Prep manufactured by Rainguard and available here on our website. Ensure the surface is clean and “bone dry”, thus allowing the sealer to absorb into the surface.

Mixing:
This eco-friendly product is safe to use and easy to apply. Available in both Ready to Use and Concentrates. Concentrates are the best value and mixing is simple.
1. For the quart concentrate that “makes 2 gallons”, just empty the contents of the quart into an empty 5 gallon pail then add water to the 2 gallon mark. Helpful hint: If there is no 2 gallon mark visible then first add 2 gallons of water into the empty 5 gallon pail and mark the waters level with a sharpie marker.
2. For the quart that “makes 5 gallons”, just empty the contents of the quart into an empty 5 gallon pail then fill with clean tap water.

Application:
For a proper application, use a hand pumped garden sprayer. Apply 1 (one) heavy saturation coat to ensure the product can penetrate deep into the surface, sealing the pores or capillaries. Once the 1st coat is dry to the touch apply the recommended 2nd saturation coat to ensure best results. Once the 2nd coat is completely dry you can now put any decor, furniture etc. back on the treated surface. IMPORTANT: Avoid letting any water to come in contact with your newly sealed surface for 24 hours. After full cure time is achieved (approximately 4-5 days) you can expect the full beading effect.

Wait to test water repellency after the full chemical cure period. To conduct a test, simply drip some water in a few places where you have sealed the surface, if the drips make the surface darken, this is an indication that it is still absorbing, meaning you need to apply another coating. (more common with older surfaces)

Vertical Surfaces:
Allow product to drip heavily before moving onto the next spot. Heavily saturate the surface maintaining at least a 6-inch drip or run down.

Horizontal Surfaces:
Apply the product until it starts to pool up slightly. You will know enough was applied in any given spot when the product starts to pool (puddle) up with a milky-white color. The puddling will dissipate slowly into the pores so there is no need to back roll or brush them out.

Clean-Up:
Clean-up is a breeze thanks to our water based formula. Simply rinse out equipment with fresh water after application until it runs clear. Any undesired over-spray on windows or glass can be immediately wiped off. If the product has already dried it can be cleaned off quickly with a rag, warm water, and a mild soap.

PRECAUTIONS & LIMITATIONS
1. All surfaces to be coated should be clean of any dirt and grime, efflorescence, lime run, form oils and release agents, grease, mud, excess mortar, and mold and mildew, etc.
2. All cracks should be pointed or caulked. All voids, bee holes, masonry surface defects and openings such as conduits, pipes, drains, door frames, vents, air conditioner openings, electrical openings, control joints, or any dissimilar materials should be repaired using urethane or other approved patching.

STORAGE
Store materials in a well-protected area between 45° and 90°F. Avoid freezing temperatures, direct sunlight, and moisture. Keep away from heat sources.
