Bio-Seal E206 is formulated using a combination of epoxy resins and high temperature curing agents to provide outstanding corrosion resistance at elevated temperatures. Unlike most high temperature systems that stay liquid at ambient temperatures, Bio-Seal E206 is uniquely formulated to harden at ambient temperatures, providing a drip-free and dust-free application before returning to temperature service.

Packaging for the Bio-Seal E206 comes in 1 Quart, 1/2 gallon, 1 gallon and 2 gallon kits.

Product Use Instructions

Surface Preparation

General: Surface should be clean and free of contamination such as greases, oils or other residues. Clean with detergent wash then flush with fresh water if necessary. Abrasive blast metals to SSPC-SP10 “Near White Blast” standards with a 2-4 mil anchor profile to provide optimal adhesion performance. Bio-Seal E206 coating can be applied over properly prepared steel, galvanizing, aluminum and concrete

Mixing Procedures

This material is a two-component product, premeasured to produce the desired kit size once part A and B are mixed. For small kits, a Jiffy type mixer with a high torque motor is recommended for proper blending. Add the curing agent into the base and mix for about 1 minute, taking care to reach all corners and walls to eliminate unmixed material. Unmixed material will never harden. Material may immediately be used.

Application

Apply to substrate using a brush or straight-edged spreader. Use a wet film gauge to measure application thickness. For thick or multi-coat applications, allow material to harden before post curing.

Post Curing Schedule

This material requires an elevated temperature to cure correctly and reach stated physical properties. Inadequate temperature or heating times will result in diminished physical properties, severely impacting performance of the product.
