4G Surface Guard: Walls & Floors
4G Surface Guard is a permanent water-based impregnation system for horizontal and vertical mineral and porous architectural surfaces. The treatment transforms natively absorbent surfaces into highly water and oil-repellent surfaces (hydrophobic and oleophobic). As an impregnation, it penetrates mineral substrates through their natural absorbency and by gravity.
4G Surface Guard is not a film-forming sealant. It leaves the substrate fully vapor permeable. Once cured, 4G Surface Guard is invisible to the human eye and does not change the surface friction.

Correctly applied and depending on conditions, life expectancy is approximately 10 years.
For Walls, 4G surfaces are designed for maximum grime repellence, including pollution, mold and mildew. 4G Surface Guard will protect the building material from permanent damage from stains and shadows, or potential damage from harsh cleaning methods.
For Floors, 4G is designed for abrasion resistance against normal mechanical stress from pedestrian traffic, various wheel-based equipment and regular professional cleaning processes. Liquid-based grime repels and is largely inhibited from absorbing in to the porous substrate and bonding with the mineral surface material. Treated surfaces are much easier to clean and permanent staining is largely avoided. Chewing gum, grease and grime are easier to remove and normally do not leave black spots or shadows.

Product Use Instructions
Use 4G SURFACE GUARD product as provided.
Shake well before use. Do not dilute.
Surfaces must be clean and free of any previous coatings or sealants. It is normal and best practice to mask and protect windows in a suitable manner.
Easily applied by airless sprayer, HVLP, or low-pressure pump-up type sprayer. Brush, roller, or mop can also be used where appropriate.
Rapid, single-step application, 1 or 2 wet on wet layers. Already treated surfaces can be replenished as needed, without stripping the first coat.
Appearance on surface
• Invisible, preserves the natural look and feel of the
surface.
• No change in coefficient of friction, or slip resistance.
• Transparent, mostly invisible dependent on the type of
surface. UV-resistant. Weather/water/graffiti resistant.
• Before commencing large-scale use always test first to
ensure the finish is satisfactory.
SURFACE CLEANING ON PRE-TREATED SURFACES
Pollution, grime, grease, mold, and mildew are efficiently removed with a hot water pressure washer, or by brushing/brooming on WORLD’S BEST DETERGENT or FELTPEN FADEOUT. Severe oil stains can be removed with BARE BRICK STONE & MASONRY REMOVER.
TEMPERATURE USAGE
Ideal temperature for external application should be between 45º - 95°F / 8º - 35ºC. Minimum temperature is 40°F / 5ºC.
Relative humidity must not exceed 95%.
NB: Fresh concrete has to cure for at least 28 days before
protection.
