Muralguard Protects Portland Public Art Mural
DESCRIPTION
Ramble More Design created a new public art installation in Portland, Maryland. This 8 x 10 ft mural is a homage to the working waterfront and the mariners who have called it home. The mural consists of wheat paste with varnish, both paint and wax marker. In order to protect a precious piece of public art in the community, they turned to MuralGuard Anti-Graffiti Coating.
Before application of MuralGuard, they ensured all contamination (such as dirt, oil, etc.) was removed from the surface so that it wouldn’t impact adhesion. Then, they sprayed The MuralGuard at an average of 350 sq’ feet per gallon over the mural for each of the 2 coats to provide maximum protection. MuralGuard is designed to protect valuable Murals and other Public Art that is environmentally friendly with zero VOC. It is also non-yellowing and a top of the line two-component system.
Customer remarked “Worked great! No water or power washing at all actually, just acetone and paper towels!”. This ensured lasting protection of a much beloved public art piece.
